2017/2018 Schedule Unveiled

The BCHL has released the 2017/2018 Schedule, featuring all 58 home and away games.

The Kings season opens up for the Kings at home on September 8th against the Victoria Grizzlies, a rematch of last year’s Island Division Final that saw the Grizzlies advance in a thrilling seven-game series.

Highlights on the schedule include a visit from the Wenatchee Wild on October 7th. The Kings and Wild have put on some incredibly entertaining games over the last two years with both teams playing a fast, high tempo brand of hockey.

The Nanaimo Clippers make their first trip to the Hap Parker Arena on October 27th for a double header, while the Kings will see Cowichan Valley for the first time on home ice a week later. The Alberni Valley Bulldogs round out September with a solo game at the Hap on the 30th.

Other notable games on the calendar include Family Day Monday on February 12th when the Kings host Alberni Valley, a visit from the defending league champs Penticton on January 26th and the 2018 RBC Cup host Chilliwack Chiefs on February 18th.

Coincidently the games against Penticton and Chilliwack bookend the longest home stand of the season, nine games. The longest road swing is six games, which the Kings will do twice. First between November 3rd and November 12th, then again from December 8th and December 17th leading into Christmas. The Kings are away from Powell River for both Remembrance Day and New Years Eve this season.
