Preview: Kings welcome Langley for 2nd home game of October

The Powell River Kings (10-7-0-0) wrap up the home portion of their October schedule Sunday afternoon as they host the Langley Rivermen (4-8-3-1) at the Hap Parker Arena at 1:30.

The Kings are coming off a 6-2 win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on Friday, which was their first home game in 20 days. In the win, Curtis McCarrick scored a pair of goals and Carter Turnbull had a goal and two assists to give the Kings their 10th win of the season. The game also featured the return of captain Jake Kohlhauser to the lineup, as the defenceman had missed the previous eight games due to injury.

The Rivermen meanwhile make their way to Powell River to wrap up an Island Division road trip in which they dropped the opening game Friday to the Victoria Grizzlies 4-2, followed by a 4-3 double overtime loss to the Cowichan Valley Capitals Saturday.

Last season the Kings split their season series with Langley with a decisive 9-3 win at home November 13, before a 4-3 double overtime loss on the road December 18. In the win, Kyle Betts, Mullin and Liam Lawson all recorded three points.
