Broadcast Preps and Alumni

As I noted with my last blog post, broadcast preparations are well underway. Coming in completely fresh has its benefits and drawbacks…but hard work will make me an expert by September 23rd!

With regards to the broadcast, now is the time for you to have your say on any intermission content you want this season. We will do lots of interviews this year, but hoping also to do tonnes of features with the players and other personalities around the league. Comment on this blog, email me at kingsbroadcast@gmail.com, or tweet me either through @alexrawnsley or @PRKingsBCHL to submit any ideas or thoughts. I’m truly looking forward to talking with lots of fans this year.

On another note, this was from Brian Wiebe’s blog:
F Ethan Cox (Powell River, 2004-06) inked a one year extension with Alaska Aces (ECHL). The 24 year old from Richmond had 32 points (15g, 17a) in 56 games with Alaska in 2010-11. He also had one point (0g, 1a) in 3 AHL games with Peoria Rivermen and Portland Pirates. . . .

Thanks Brian and congratulations to Ethan. In his two seasons with the Kings, Ethan suited up for 117 games and scored 49 goals and added 73 helpers for a better than a point-per-game 122 points.

Expecting to talk to assistant coach Geoff Grimwood tomorrow about Saturday’s intrasquad game and the overall camp, so look for another blog post tomorrow.
