Carter Lundie signs with Kings

The Kings are very happy to announce the signing of 2006 born forward Carter Lundie for the 2023-24 season.

If you’ve been paying close attention this season, Lundie is not an unfamiliar name as he’s suited up in three games for the Kings this year as an affiliate and was able to score a goal in his second game, back on new years eve against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. “Carter came to our spring camp last year, and has really impressed us through this season” says G.M. Chad van Diemen. “He had a very good year with BWC and played well in his games we were able to get him into our lineup as an affiliate.”

The native of North Vancouver spent this season at the Burnaby Winter Club Academy, playing for the U18 prep team, where in 32 games he scored 19 times and added 13 assists. “He’s had solid coaching and he plays the game the right way with good habits.” adds van Diemen “We are pretty excited that he’s chosen to play in Powell River and look forward to getting him into a Kings jersey right away”

Lundie will look to make one last good impression as an affiliate before he becomes an official member of the team next year, as he is expected to play in each of the final three regular season games on the lower mainland this weekend.
