Most of you know by now that the team bus broke down on its way to Wenatchee. Right now it’s sitting at a Richmond repair shop and we will get a verdict of what went wrong, but we don’t expect good news. The expenses for this road trip were substantially more than usual. Plus the fact we will have to return to Wenatchee and play a make-up game in the future. Fortunately the team was able to regroup and continue on to Penticton where they won their first game since 2003 in Penticton.
At this time we need to use this set back as motivation to communicate, by any which way possible, to people of our town to help us fill the Hap and come out to the games and also to purchase the Dream Lottery Tickets. However, we understand from quite a few of you that are not BC residents that you would like a way to help out as well. This gofundme page is set up for those of you living outside of BC, who want to help the Kings be able to get a new bus and to help us recoup some of these larger costs of this past trip and future trip.
We are going to have to look at alternatives for this upcoming weekend of travel, most likely having to rent a charter again until we can purchase a new bus. Preliminary calls have already been made for a replacement bus.
We ask all of our outside BC Fans, Parents and Alumni to help the Kings out in getting a new bus. Let’s start off our 30th year without this huge debt hanging over our team. The Kings ask for your support and thank you for any donations that are made as every dollar helps!
