Glasman and Wozney earn hardware in Week 2 BCHL awards

Powell River Kings forward Levi Glasman has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 15, the league announced Monday.

The three-year BCHL veteran scored four goals and added three assists in his team’s two wins over the weekend to give him a league-high seven points this week.

On Friday, Glasman opened the scoring in the Kings’ contest against the Chilliwack Chiefs. After the Chiefs took a 2-1 lead in the second period, he tied the game as Powell River scored four straight to win 5-2. He was named the game’s second star. On Sunday against the Cowichan Valley Capitals, the 20-year-old from Lacombe, Alta. scored two first-period goals and chipped in with three assists in his team’s 7-2 victory and was again named second star of the game.

After four games, Glasman leads the BCHL with 10 points and is tied for most goals with five as Powell River is off to a perfect 4-0 start.
