Kings Acquire Matt Scarth

For immediate release:

 

The Powell River Kings are pleased to announce the commitment of Matt Scarth for the upcoming 2011-2012 season. Scarth is a forward who hails from the Alberta Midget Hockey League where he wore the ?C? for the Calgary Buffaloes. This past season, he earned 54 points and was tied for first for goals with 29 in 34 games played.

 

Matt visited Powell River in late February to get a feel for the team as well as the town. Fans who came out to the intra-squad game during the bye week were able to get a sneak-peak at the upcoming talented player.

 

Coach Kent Lewis looks states, ?We?re excited to add a quality forward to our line-up. He?s a well-rounded player who will compliment the hard work our current forwards are putting into the game.?
