The Powell River Kings have acquired the playing rights of forward Ryan Tserlin from the Sherwood Park Crusaders in exchange for future considerations.
Tserlin, a 2008-born left-shot forward from Staten Island, New York, is committed to Lindenwood University and will be eligible to join the Lions for the 2027-28 NCAA season. He arrives in Powell River/qathet after a highly productive AAA career with the New Jersey Rockets.
In 2024-25 he posted 97 points (42 goals, 55 assists) in 78 games at the 16U level and earned THF 16U Second All-Star Team honours. He also recorded 8 points (2G-6A) in 5 games at the USA Hockey 16U Nationals. The previous season he produced 63 points (30G-33A) in 57 games at 15U.
Tserlin spent part of 2025-26 with the Philadelphia Rebels of the North American Hockey League before the Kings secured his BCHL rights.
“I’m ready to get here and play,” Tserlin said.
The Kings open the regular season at home Friday, September 18 against the Prince George Spruce Kings.
