The Kings are excited to announce the signing of 2006 born forward Max Bennett for the 2025-26 season.
“I’m super excited to be a part of the Kings next year and I can’t wait to get started.” says Bennett “Coach Seeger and I had a great conversation and I feel very comfortable and confident making the transition to Powell River for the upcoming season.”
Bennett is from Eagan Minnesota and will bring a lot of offensive prowess to the Kings as he was an over a point per game player last season. He was the 4th leading scorer on his team at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul Minnesota collecting 21 goals and 12 assists in 28 games, and he was second in scoring for Team Wisconsin in the Upper Midwest High School Elite League where in 21 games he had 13 goals and 18 assists.
Standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall Bennett will bring more than just an offensive game to the lineup according to Head Coach and G.M. Stephan Seeger Jr. “Max is a confident shooter, and he finds ways to get under the opposing teams skin either by scoring goals or by creating frustration on forechecks for defenders. He will be a nice power forward addition to our lineup.”
Ready to make the leap to junior hockey and move away from home to the west coast, Bennett has goals for himself that go beyond the rink. “Some expectations for me is to become more dependent on myself and grow into the young adult that I want to be and I think Powell River presents a great opportunity to accomplish that.”
