Bodie, Pettitt off to All-Star Game

Kings defenceman and captain Mat Bodie along with forward Andrew Pettitt will be representing the Powell River Kings at the 2010 All-Star game being held in Nanaimo on Wednesday, January 13^th.

Bodie, from East St. Paul, Manitoba is the 2008-09 Coastal Conference Rookie of the Year and was captain of Team Canada West that earned a silver medal at the 2009 World Junior ?A? Challenge. Mat will be attending Union College next season as a member of the Dutchman.

Pettitt, a native of Whitehorse, Yukon is in his second season with the Kings and is leading his team with 46 points while sitting tied for 5^th in BCHL goal scoring with 27.

This season format will see a combination of the all stars from both the Coastal and Interior Conferences taking on the defending Fred Page Cup Champion Vernon Vipers. The Vipers defeated the Kings for the championship in six games last season.
