Kings lose 4-3 to Caps in Game 4

Capitals Stave off Elimination with 4-3 Win over Kings

Game 5 Thursday in Powell River

Game four started the way the first three had as the Kings outshot the Capitals 15-5 to take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission on a Daniel Carr power play tally. Teagan Waugh made it two nothing before the second was two minutes old. The Caps got on the board four minutes later and then the Kings lost their killer instinct. Late in the period Cap captain Joey Massingham scored twice to give them their first lead in the series with his second coming with 33 seconds left as they outshot the Kings 9-8 in the period. Daniel Carr scored his second on a breakaway from a great feed by Mat Bodie to tie the game mid way through the third. But the Caps regained the lead for good just over two minutes later. The Kings pressed and had chances with Josh Watson on the bench but Laurent Brossoit shut the door as time expired. Shots were 17-13 Cowichan in the third.
