Kings shutout by Bulldogs in final pre-season contest

Powell River, BC – The Powell River Kings were shutout, 4-0 by Alberni Valley Bulldogs in their final pre-season game on Friday night at the Hap Parker Arena.

The Kings hosted an exhibition contest at Hap Parker Arena for the first time in over 20-years. They finish their pre-season campaign 2-1 after back-to-back wins last week in Alberni Valley, and a loss tonight.

Matteo Paler-Chow made the start for the Kings, and was replaced by 15-year-old goaltender Eli Pulver midway through the second period.

The Bulldogs received goals from Tyler Kostelecky, Ryan Doolin, Jacob Boose and Jackson Munro. They scored two in the first, one in the second and one in the third period. Luke Pearson made 27-saves for the shutout.

The Kings were outshot 30-27.

The Powell River Kings open up the regular season on Friday, September 6th at Hap Parker Arena.
