Kings Sign Forward Dawson Milliken

POWELL RIVER, BC – The Powell River Kings announced on Thursday the signing of 2002 born-forward Dawson Milliken.

The Canmore, Alberta product spent the 2019-20 season with Okanagan Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep Red team, posting a total 14 goals and 12 assists in 32 games played. Milliken also affiliated with the BCHL’s West Kelowna Warriors, appearing in one game on February 15th, 2020.

“Dawson is a high character player coming out of a good program in Okanagan Hockey Academy and has had good coaching during his years there,” stated general manager Chad van Diemen. He was committed to Wenatchee fairly early in the recruiting process last season, however unfortunate circumstances regarding the border and the ability to cross has allowed us to pick him up.”

Milliken and the Kings are currently in extended training camp in advance of their exhibition game schedule, which will commence on Sunday, November 8th in Duncan against the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
