The Powell River Kings are pleased to announce the signing of forward Shiva Singh for the 2026-27 British Columbia Hockey League season.
Singh, a 2007-born left-shot forward from Surrey, B.C., stands 5-foot-9 and 172 pounds. He arrives in Powell River after a standout rookie campaign with the Chase Heat of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.
In 2025-26, Singh led the Heat in scoring with 18 goals and 25 assists for 43 points in 39 games. He ranked among the top KIJHL rookies, recorded 12 power-play points and one shorthanded goal, and averaged nearly 19 minutes per game while contributing on both special teams.
His season was recognized with multiple honours: Doug Birks Division Rookie of the Year, KIJHL Rookie of the Month for February, and two Rookie of the Week awards (September and December). In February he posted 13 points (7G-6A) in eight games and helped Chase clinch a playoff berth.
Prior to junior hockey, Singh spent three seasons with Langley Hockey Academy U18 in the Junior Prospect Hockey League, recording 41 goals and 49 assists for 90 points in 95 games.
Chase Heat head coach-general manager Nick Deschenes previously described Singh as a player with strong instincts, vision, and puck possession who goes to hard areas and creates offence while managing risk.
Singh adds skill, pace, and proven production to the Kings’ forward group as the club continues to build toward the 2026-27 season.
