The Kings are excited to announce the signing of 2005 born forward Rémi Gélinas.

Gélinas who is from Deux-Montagnes, Quebec comes to the Kings after starting the the season with the CCHL’s Hawkesbury Hawks. In 80 career CCHL games he scored 32 times and had 36 assists.

The 18 year old left shot forward is a promising talent and was someone who the Kings have had their eye on for a while. “Rémi is a player we spoke to over the summer at length.” says Vice President Chad van Diemen “He went back to Hawkesbury and has gotten off to a very good start to the season and is the 6th leading scorer in the CCHL and the leading scorer amongst 2005 born players. Adding Rémi now makes our team better and he will be a key piece of our forward group moving ahead.”

Gélinas will look to make an immediate impact when he makes his Kings debut this weekend and help his new team pick up a much needed victory. The Kings will take on the Clippers in Nanaimo on Friday at 7pm then they will face off with the Capitals in Dunacan on Saturday night at 6pm.
