Powell River, BC – The Powell River Kings are pleased to announce the signing of forward Michael Mikan, the first major player acquisition under the team’s new hockey operations structure.
Mikan, who previously played for Head Coach Brennan Menard in Sherwood Park, brings valuable experience, high character, and strong hockey IQ to the Kings. He has competed at the WHL level and is committed to playing NCAA hockey at Harvard University for the 2027-28 season.
General Manager Tyler Kuntz commented:

It’s always smart to surround a new coach like Brennan Menard with players he’s familiar with, players he’s comfortable around, players he’s recruited, and players he already has a strong relationship with.
