A pair of nods from both the BCHL and CJHL this week for the Kings and their captain.
First, Gavin Rauser was named an honourable mention to this week’s BCHL Player of the Week award. Rauser’s 2 goals and 2 assists in two weekend wins got him on the list. For the team, the Kings cracked the Top 10 for the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s Top 20 rankings. The Kings were an honourable mention last week, but after wins at home to the Trail Smoke Eaters and Wenatchee Wild, the team has moved up to 10th. The Vees hold down 4th spot while Trail comes in at 19th. Vernon is an honourable mention. The Kings hit the road this weekend for their first interdivisional trip of the season. They’ll visit Chilliwack on Friday night, Vernon on Saturday and Trail on Sunday afternoon. All three games will be live on 95.7 CoastFM and HockeyTV beginning 20 minutes prior to puck drop.
