Rodgers Joins the Team

Fraser comes to the Kings organization after spending the past season in Melfort, Saskatchewan, broadcasting for three teams in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. He covered the Humboldt Broncos, Melfort Mustangs and Nipawin Hawks. He also was the voice of senior hockey, applying his trade in the Fishing Lake Hockey League as well as calling games for  the Tisdale Trojans in the Major Midget circuit.

Prior to his time in the Prairies, Fraser spent two seasons with the Victoria Cougars of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League. During his time there, he broadcasted two VIJHL Championships and the Cyclone Taylor Cup.

Fraser also worked outside of hockey, as the broadcaster for the British Columbia Football League's Vancouver Island Raiders, where he broadcasted a league championship as well as a national championship game in Ontario.

Fraser was raised in Nanaimo, and this marks his first time on the Sunshine Coast.

“I am humbled to be part of such a storied organization, such as the Powell River Kings”, stated Rodgers. ” This is as a young broadcaster, a tremendous opportunity and can't wait to get in the booth. I am excited to bring Kings hockey to the fans.”
