Surrey wins game five 3-1

Fire up the bus – we're going back to Surrey for game six.

There was a large and loud crowd at the Hap Parker Arena for game five but they left the building without the result they wanted.

Kings got off to a great start and hustled their way to a 1-0 lead on the powerplay.

On a five on three powerplay Matt Garbowsky got the puck back to Craig Dalrymple who let a blast go that beat St Laurent on the glove side at 12:20 of the first period.

Kings kept up the tempo through the rest of the period and almost all the way to the third.

Surrey had a powerplay opportunity of their own and Vanderlugt got off a shot that Michael Garteig only got a piece of and the tying goal went into the net at 19:55- just five seconds short of the break.

Kings had a lot of chances to put this one away but couldn't solve St Laurent and paid the price.

Eagles scored the winner at 11:42 when Hayden Trupp pounced on a rebound from a Jones point shot and a couple of minutes later Vanderhoek put it away on a two on one.

Kings had a ton of pressure down 3-1 and pulled Garteig with three and a half minutes to go but this wasn't their night.

Kings have another chance on Friday, tomorrow, in Surrey to win this series.
