The Kings are proud to announce that defenseman Will Jones has committed to play NCAA hockey at the United States Air Force Academy.
“It’s pretty special for my family and I” said Jones “I got to campus with my family and it felt like home. The coaching staff is great, they bring energy everyday and they are guys you want to play for. It’s a special place and I’m hoping I can continue that tradition when I get there. I can’t thank everyone enough around me that’s helped me get to this point. The work is just beginning so I’m very proud and I’m looking forward to continue playing and playing well.”
The eighteen year old out of Brentwood Tennessee has played in 39 games in his first year with the Kings scoring 3 goals and adding 18 assists and the Kings coaching staff know that this is a well deserved opportunity for him. “We are really happy for Will here, it’s something he’s worked towards all year” adds assistant coach Harry Mahesh “He was lucky enough to go there earlier in the week and take a tour of the campus and he really enjoyed it and it didn’t take him too long to hesitate and commit there. The boys are excited for him and it’s definitely well earned”
