Carr Inks with Canadiens

Former Kings forward Daniel Carr has become the 2nd alumni this month to sign a National Hockey League contract, the Union College grad is one of the newest members of the Montreal Canadiens.

Carr joins Mat Bodie as future NHL’ers after Bodie signed with the New York Rangers earlier in April. In 4 years with Union College, Carr dominated offensively and leaves the school as Union’s leading scorer in the Division 1 era, playing 158 regular season games for 78 goals, 79 assists and 157 points. In his senior year, he helped lead Union to their first National Championship, scoring 22 goals and adding 28 assists in 39 games.

Carr’s entry level, two-year deal starts in 2014/2015, so he will stay at Union College and finish out his schooling. The Kings wish to congratulate Dan on this fantastic achievement.
