TYLER KUNTZ | GENERAL MANAGER & HEAD COACH

Kuntz joined the Kings ahead of the 2018/19 season following over a decade of coaching experience at various levels of hockey. He is a former head coach of the UBC Thunderbirds, along with an assistant coach with the Thunderbirds, the WHL’s Vancouver Giants and the Daemyung Killer Whales in South Korea.

BROCK SAWYER | ASSISTANT GM & ASSISTANT COACH

Brock is a former Kings player, playing 77 games between 2007 and 2008 in Powell River. Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Sawyer played NCAA hockey at Elmira College before embarking on a pro hockey career in the United States. Brock has been with the Kings since 2014 and manages the teams defencemen, as well as many of the Kings camp and hockey schools.

KYLE BODIE | ASSISTANT COACH

Bodie is a Kings alumni, playing three seasons with the team from 2006 to 2009. Following a successful Junior career, Bodie played NCAA Division 1 hockey with Union College for four years before playing pro hockey in the ECHL, France and Germany. Bodie has been coaching with the Kings since 2015 and is responsible for special teams.

SEAN MAGUIRE | GOALTENDING COACH

Sean is a former Powell River Kings goaltender, from 2010 to 2012 and helped steer the Kings to two of their four straight league final appearances. Selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Maguire attended Boston University, before embarking on a pro career in the AHL and ECHL.

BRAEDON BEHAN | ATHLETIC TRAINER & EQUIPMENT MANAGER

Born and raised in Powell River, Braedon attended Camosun College in Victoria and graduated in June 2018 with a Bachelors Degrees in Athletic and Exercise Therapy and is a certified First Responder. He’s a former Athletic Therapist with both the Westshore Wolves (VIJHL) and Victoria Royals (WHL).

Terry and Jamie bring a wealth of experience to the Kings dressing room. Terry is a Paramedic with the BC Ambulance service in Powell River and is the primary point of contact in the event of injury during a game or practice. Jamie is a Powell River RCMP officer and a Kings Board of Directors member.

Nadine has been with the Kings since 2012 and manages team operations off the ice. Nadine is responsible for booking team appearances in the community, running various community engagement programs through the year, helping in organizing of fundraising efforts, corporate sales and much, much more.

ALEX RAWNSLEY | DBROADCASTING & DIGITAL MEDIA

Alex has been with the Kings since 2011 and called over 400 games for Powell River. Originally from Australia, Alex is responsible for all digital aspects of the Powell River Kings including broadcasting games on radio and HockeyTV, managing the website and social media channels, and producing a variety of digital content. Alex was named co-BCHL Broadcaster of the Year in 2016.
