Powell River, BC – Powell River Kings ’99 born goaltender Derek Krall has been named a BCHL Week 19 Player of the Week Honorable Mention.
Krall, 20, posted a 1.50 GAA and .945 SV% through two Kings wins over the Nanaimo Clippers last weekend. The Nanaimo, BC native allowed two goals on 26 shots in a 5-2 win on Friday, and followed by stopping 28 of 29 in a 5-1 victory on Saturday.
The uncommitted goaltender has now posted back-to-back wins on back-to-back nights for the first time this season. He improves to 18-8-2, with 2.75 GAA / .912 SV% and 2 shutouts this season.
Krall has now earned the Player of the Week Honorable Mention twice, to go along with one Player of the Week award and a Player of the Month Honorable Mention.
