The Kings are gearing up for an exciting double-header weekend versus the Surrey Eagles on Saturday March 3rd and Sunday March 4th. The Kings will be doing their best to clinch first place and the Eagles will be working hard not to loose to lose top place in the Coastal Conference.
Valley Building Supplies will be giving away 10,000 AirMiles at Saturday's March 3rd's game! Valley is making it a full day event as they plan to have SunFM onsite at their store location on Padgett Road that day. At the Kings' game, Valley will be giving away tickets to every fan who comes to the game. 10 lucky contestants will be drawn and will compete to pop 100 balloons at centre ice during the second intermission. Each balloon will contain a piece of paper with a denomination of up to 5,000 AirMiles! Each balloon popped means more AirMiles earned. Will you be popping your way to 5,000 + AirMiles that night?
On Sunday March 4th, Powell River's own BC Lion Jesse Newman will be at the game with the Grey Cup. Starting at noon, fans are invited to come and congratulate Jesse and get a photo or two with the Grey Cup in the upper foyer of the Complex.
Sunday March 4th will also be Fan Appreciation Day! While you're congratulating Jesse you can also enjoy a free hotdog, hamburger, or chilli courtesy of Louise Williams of Dominion Lending. If you would like to donate cash for your lunch all the proceeds will go towards your local Salvation Army Foodbank. The tailgate BBQs will fire up at noon and run until puck drop at 1:30 pm.
Dominion Lending also invites every fan who comes to enter their name into a draw for a 40" TV and DVD player.
