JJ Coleshaw commits to Kings for 2012-2013 season

For Immediate Release:

Powell River, BCMay 5, 2012 – The Powell River Kings are excited to welcome forward JJ Coleshaw to the team’s line-up for the upcoming 2012-2013 season.

Hailing from Clavet, Saskatchewan and with a ’94 birth year, JJ Coleshaw grew up playing the game on his backyard rink and then in the arenas of Clavet. Most recently Coleshaw played for Tisdale Trojans where he averaged 1.1 points per a game.

GM and head coach Kent Lewis is looking forward to having Coleshaw in the line-up next season. “JJ is a big kid who has good hands. With the departure of offensive players like Cohen Adair, JJ will be a welcome addition as he has a nose for the net.”

“When we recruit we look for players who will fit into the brand and identity of Kings’ hockey we have created over the past number of years. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to the team, dedicated to their education, and dedicated to the community. JJ Coleshaw fits this mould.”

In joining the Kings’ program, JJ is looking forward to moving to the Sunshine Coast and developing his skills. “I will bring some scoring and am a team guy on and off the ice. I work hard and will put 100% into the team.”

JJ is confident in his decision to play in Powell River. “Over the course of the past few months I have gotten to know Geoff Grimwood and then when I visited I got to meet Kent and Chad. I know that Kent and his coaching staff have developed a strong program here. I can’t wait to part of a program that has had so much success the past number of years.”

JJ Coleshaw will be arriving in Powell River and ready to hit the ice for the Kings’ Main Camp in August.

Welcome to the team JJ!
