Kings add depth on D with the addition of Henryk Lasky

The Kings are proud to announce the signing of 2005 born defenseman Henryk Lasky.

“I’m super excited to come to Powell River and join the Kings” says Lasky “It’s a great community and I can’t wait to be apart of it for the rest of the season.”

Coming from Greenwich Connecticut, the 18 year old already has two seasons of junior hockey under his belt. He has played 85 games for the Connecticut Roughriders of the Eastern Hockey League where he played alongside current Kings defenseman Kieran Chung. In 7 games this season for the Roughriders he had a goal and an assist.

Lasky will fill a much needed void on the left the side of defence with only two other left shot defenseman on the roster, and he will also add some grit and toughness to the team. “I like to think of myself as really solid defensively” adds Lasky “I am very strong in front of the net and hopefully I can help contribute to many wins this season.”

Lasky is expected to make his Kings debut this weekend when they head to the Lower Mainland to take on the Coquitlam Express on Friday and Langley Rivermen on Saturday.
