The Kings are excited to announce the signings of 2003 born forward Colin Ratt and 2005 born forward Wynston Iserhoff.

Ratt and Iserhoff are cousins from. Ratt is from Rapid Lake Quebec and Iserhoff is from Maniwaki Quebec which is the hometown of late Canucks legend Gino Odjick. Both of them come to the Kings from the Gatineau Flames of the QJHL. “We are very lucky to have both of them come in together” says assistant general manager Stephan Seeger Jr. “Anytime you can keep teammates together it brings a level of chemistry that is warmly welcomed. We are thrilled to have these two young men join us in green & gold.”

The twenty year old Ratt is a veteran of Major Junior hockey playing 126 games in the QMJHL with the Sherbrooke Phoenix and Gatineau Olympiques. He is coming off his best season last year with the Olympiques where he had 25 points in 65 games. Overall in his Major Junior career he scored 13 times and had 24 assists. This season for the Flames Ratt has 8 goals and 5 assists in 12 games. “Colin is a big physical presence and comes in with Major Junior experience” adds Seeger Jr. “He is patient with the puck and is fun to watch play. Fans should expect Colin to bring energy and excitement offensively to our roster immediately with his physicality and heavy shot.”  Ratt will become the first player with previous Major Junior experience to play for the Kings since Ryan Pouliot and Kyle Pow during the 2018-19 season.

Iserhoff is a young skilled forward who has a ton of potential. He is currently in the midst of his first full season of junior hockey and it has gone very well. In 27 games for the Flames this season he found the back of the net 20 times which was the most on his team. Since joining the Flames Iserhoff has been a point per game player with 41 points in 41 games. “Wynston is a skilled shifty forward. He will fit into our system very well with his speed and shot first mentality. He is evasive with the puck in tight areas and has a nice release.”

Both of them are expected to make their debuts this weekend when the Kings head to the Island for two games. They will be in Victoria on Friday at 7pm, then will face off with the Capitals on Saturday at 6pm. The next home games for the Kings are January 12th & 13th against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.
