Levi Glasman commits to Colgate University for 2020-21

Powell River, BC – The Powell River Kings are proud to announce that ’99 born forward Levi Glasman has committed to Colgate University (NCAA D-1) for the 2020-21 season.

Glasman, 20, leads the Kings in points (16), assists (10) and is tied for first in goals (6), while also tied for fourth in league scoring with 16-points in 13-games this season. The Lecombe, Alberta native has totaled 131-points (54 G / 77 A) in 124 career BCHL games split between the Trail Smoke Eaters and the Powell River Kings.

The Red Deer Chiefs Midget AAA product was acquired by Powell River Kings Head Coach Tyler Kuntz on October 26th, 2018 in a three-team deal involving Nathan Kelly (Chilliwack Chiefs) and Powell Connor (Trail Smoke Eaters). Since the trade, Glasman has scored 27-goals and 63-points in a Kings uniform.

“This is really exciting for him as he’s put in the work,” said Kings Head Coach Tyler Kuntz. “He plays the right way, he’s committed, he’s been a good person and he’s been a great Powell River King’. I think it’s a great story for a guy who came into the BCHL without a scholarship at 18-year-old and committed to the process.”

Glasman becomes the second Kings player to announce their commitment this season, joining defenseman Ben Wozney who announced his commitment to play at Bowling Green University during training camp.

“They’re just a professional organization, said Kings forward Levi Glasman on Colgate. “I thought it was a great fit for me and they thought it was great fit for them. We both want to impact next year with a purpose.”

Glasman and the Kings are back in action on Friday October 11th when they host the Penticton Vees at 7:00 p.m.
