NCHA Hands out Awards

The Kings are proud to announce that former players and teammates Kyle Leahy and Reid Campbell continue to find success in their NCAA Division 3 careers.

Campbell was a key component of the Kings’ backline for four years. He joined the Kings in the 2006-2007 and grew as an individual not only the ice but in his role as a young leader in the community. He played four season with the Kings including 2 runs in the Fred Page Cup league finals.

Head coach and General Manager Kent Lewis was ecstatic to hear of Campbell’s award. “Reid had a fabulous four years here in Powell River. He was a pleasure to coach and it’s amazing to see his accomplishments. He grew into a solid defence man at our level and we’re proud to see him continue to succeed at college.”

Kyle Leahy was 'the tough guy' and a heart and soul player for the Kings from 2006-2008. In his last year, Leahy wore an 'A' and was a key component of the Kings' working their way to their first Fred Page Cup finals run in a number of years.
