Smith, Brubacher Named BCHL All-Stars

Congratulations to goaltender Jeff Smith, named a 1st team BCHL All-Star for the 2015/2016 season. Smith, in his second year in Powell River, helped guide the Kings to 2nd spot in the Island Division with a 25-12-1 record, 2.48 GAA and .927sv%. So far in the playoffs, Smith is 4-2 as he steered the Kings past Cowichan Valley in the first round.

Also receiving league recognition is defenceman Adam Brubacher, who was named a 2nd team All Star defenceman. Brubacher, in his final year of Junior, joined the Kings at the January 10 deadline from the Prince George Spruce Kings. Through his lone year in the BCHL, Brubacher scored 18 times, adding 31 assists for 49 points and 2nd in team scoring.

Just as Round 2 of the BC Ford Dealers Road to the Fred Page Cup BCHL Playoffs get started tonight, the league is announcing its All-Star Teams for the 2015-16 season.

The results come from polling of BCHL play-by-play broadcasters.
