Powell River – The Powell River Kings will be hitting the ice for Training Camp beginning on Friday August 26th. All players will be divided into two teams and will have four ice times to show their skills. All fans are invited out to all of the ice times highlighted by the Green vs Gold game on Sunday at noon. The schedule for the games is as follows:

Returning players include Chris Williams, Craig Dalrymple, Jon Jutzi, Sean Maguire, Steven Schmidt, Carter Shinkaruk, Brendan Forbes, Teagan Waugh and Cohen Adair– plus newly acuired Jordan Paddock, Evan Richardson and RBC Cup winner Jamie Phillips. Be sure to see these Kings in action before the season starts. New recruits include Matt Scarth, James Neil and Brandon Wahlin to name a few. There will be a number of other new names you’ll want to check out too!
The Kings will head out Wednesday August 31st to the Interior for their Trail exhibition tournament where they will face off against the Wenatchee Wild (NAHL), Brooks Bandits (AJHL) and the Trail Smoke Eaters (BCHL).
All of Powell River is invited to kick off the Kings season with the Home Opener on Friday September 23rd and Saturday September 24th vs. Nanaimo with the puck drop at 7:30pm! More details about Opening Weekend will be released soon.
