Junior, Goalie – Montreal, QUE/Powell River Kings
Junior goaltender Brett Magnus had a strong week between the pipes for the Pioneers in route to the weekend series sweep over Niagara. He recorded both wins and a .927 save percentage to go along with 2.00 goals against average and has won his last four starts on the road. Magnus opened the series Friday night stopping 18 of the 19 Niagara shots on goal as SHU earned the 7-1 victory. He followed that up with 33 saves in the 5-3 win on Saturday night as SHU earned its first weekend series sweep in nearly two seasons.
