The Powell River Kings will battle the Vernon Vipers and Trail Smoke Eaters at the 2017 BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack September 20-24.
Each team plays a pair of neutral site games at the Showcase each year where a collection of 100+ college and pro scouts converge to check out what the BCHL has to offer. The Showcase has helped increase the number of college commitments and pro contracts/draft choices in recent years.
The Kings will play the role of hosts on Friday September 22nd against the Vernon Vipers at 1:00pm, before backing up the very next morning for a 10:00am Saturday morning contest against the Trail Smoke Eaters as the visitors. Despite the classification of “home and away”, both games will be played at Prospera Centre in Chilliwack and the home and away label will apply to which bench teams will sit on and who gets last change.
