The Powell River Kings are #1 in Canada and #1 in volunteering locally! Over the past few weeks the Kings have been taking turns manning the Salvation Army kettles in grocery stores across Powell River.
Today, the Kings assisted the Salvation Army in filling more than 200+ Christmas Hampers full of food to be dispersed into the local community. The Kings competitive nature and their teamwork translates into their volunteer efforts as well as they formed two competing teams to see who could fill the most boxes in the least time.
Captain Rick had a huge smile when he noted, “Usually it takes us 5 to 6 hours to fill all the boxes. With the Kings here, we literally finish packing them in 45 minutes!”
