A huge thank you to the amazing local group, 100+ Women Who Care, who at their meeting on Thursday night selected the Kings to receive the group’s fundraising amount for this past quarter. Kings President Rob Villani was on hand to receive the funds.
100+ Women Who Care Powell River is the local chapter of a growing worldwide movement that sees 100 or more women come together four times a year and donate $50 each. Each member nominates a non-profit organization they would like to see receive financial support and at each meeting, three are pulled at random. Those non-profits then present their contributions to the Powell River community and members vote on the winner.
KingsTV caught up with Tara Chernoff, Helen Theilmann and Lori Casparie to talk about the group and the work they do in the Powell River community.
