Dalrymple Commits to Ohio State

The Kings are proud to announce that defenseman Craig Dalrymple has committed to Ohio State University. Dalrymple will be joining teammates Chad Niddery and Justin DaSilva as a Buckeye in September 2012.

Hailing from small town Kippen, Ontario, Craig Dalrymple joined the green and gold this past August and immediately impressed the coaches and fans with his heavy shot and composure. Craig is currently 6th in team points with 8 goals and 12 assists in 32 games. Dalrymple brings a huge presence to the back line and continues to elevate his game each time he steps on the ice.

Having visited Ohio State earlier in the season, Craig took time to consider all of his scholarship options. He says, ?I?m ecstatic! When I went to Ohio State I was absolutely blown away by the school and the hockey program. I came to Powell River to gain more exposure with the goal of attaining a scholarship. This verifies that I made the right decision.?

Kings' assistant coach Geoff Grimwood is absolutely thrilled noting, “We are very proud of Craig's commitment to Ohio State University. Since arriving, Craig has been an outstanding contributor on our blue line. We know Ohio State is getting a very good player and an even better person. We know he will continue to be successful at Ohio State.?

Dalrymple chose Ohio State for its highly established hockey program ranked as one of the Top 10 in the United States and for its reputation as an institution that is recognized for its strong academics.  Craig looks forward to pursue his passion of the game while studying a 4 year degree in either Business Management or Sports Management.

Congratulations Craig on this great achievement!
