Awards Banquet Winners

 

The Powell River Kings held their annual awards banquet on Monday night, celebrating another Coastal Conference Championship, and recognizing individual achievement on and off the ice this season. The 2011-2012 winners are:

Sportsmanlike Award

Jon Jutzi – 28 PIM’s in 72 games (regular season and playoffs)

Academic Award

Evan Richardson and Jon Jutzi

Top Scorer

Cohen Adair – 74 points in 73 games, lead all scorers in regular season and playoffs

Community Award

Tanner Cochrane

Most Improved

Jordan Benton – 21 points in 69 games

Two volunteer awards were also handed out. The True Beauty Award is an award chosen by the players for an individual who has donated their time and benefited the program. This year the Kings choose Teri Cramb, the team’s yoga instructor. She was also presented with a signed team jersey in recognition of her impact on the team this year. The Volunteer of the Year Award was shared between Louise Williams and Barry Kosturos, who ran tailgates throughout the year at Kings games and catered the New Years and Awards Banquet.
