Kings Are Smarter Than A 6th Grader!

It came down to a tiebreaker between two of the Kings staff. Terri Cramb, the team’s yoga instructor and winner of the True Beauty award this year, against me, Alex Rawnsley, the team’s broadcaster tied at 4500 points a piece. In the end, I got the upper hand in the tiebreaker, correctly identifying the Nile as the world’s longest river and taking home the 2012 United Way’s Who Is Smarter Than A 6th Grader Championship!

I wanted to extend a huge thank you to everyone associated with the event for allowing Terri, myself and the Kings to be a part of the event, a huge success in fundraising for the local United Way. My girlfriend Maija got some video of the event, it’s posted below. Enjoy! I’m very much looking forward to defending my title next year! Also a big thank you to all the kids who helped out all the contestants, namely Cameryn, Georgia and Nick who were part of Team Alex and steered us to victory! You guys rock! Georgia taught me that hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia means a fear of long words…she can even spell it!
