Betts Ranked by NHL Central Scouting

Kings forward Kyle Betts has been ranked 157th among North American skaters eligible for the upcoming NHL Entry Draft in Buffalo, NY in late June. Betts is one of six BCHL’ers named to the rankings, led by Penticton due Tyson Jost and Dante Fabbro.

NHL Central Scouting released its mid-term player rankings in advance of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and there are six BCHL players and one league alumnus included among the 14 Junior A players rated.

The BCHL players listed are as follows:

No. 18 – Dante Fabbro – Penticton Vees
No. 48 – Dennis Cholowski – Chilliwack Chiefs
No. 131 – Kohen Olischefski – Chilliwack Chiefs
No. 157 – Kyle Betts – Powell River Kings
No. 186 – Colin Grannary – Merritt Centennials

From the NCAA ranks, former Salmon Arm Silverbacks defenceman Chase Priskie of Quinnipiac University came in at No. 183.

This year’s NHL Entry Draft will be held June 24 and 25 at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
