Congratulations to former Powell River Kings goaltender, and current Quinnipiac senior Michael Garteig, who has been named as the ECAC Goaltender of the Month for December 2015.
Garteig was 4-1-0 with a .945 save percentage and a 1.25 goals-against average, leading all ECAC Hockey goaltenders in wins (4) and shutouts (2) in December. In the first weekend of the month, Garteig tied the Bobcats program wins record with a 3-0 shutout at Yale before breaking the mark the following night with a 3-0 shutout at Brown. Garteig was one of two ECAC Hockey goalies to start four league games for the month, in which he posted a 4-0-0 record with a league-best .964 save percentage and a 0.78 goals-against average.
