The Kings have acquired 2004 born goaltender Justin Katz in a trade with the West Kelowna Warriors in exchange for future considerations.

Katz is from Montreal and is committed to play NCAA hockey at Cornell. He is currently in his 3rd BCHL season and has made 52 appearances in his career. In those games he has compiled a 26-15-5 record with a 3.05 gaa, a .903 sv%, and 2 shutouts. “We’ve been looking to add a veteran with some size in net and Justin certainly checks those boxes” says Stephan Seeger Jr. “He visually takes up a lot of the net and has had plenty of success in his BCHL career and we expect him to help us win games down the final stretch.” This season Katz has appeared in 7 games for the Warriors and has a 2-2 record with a gaa of 3.11 and a .891 sv%
