The Kings are thrilled to announce the signing of 2003 born forward Kristians Samitis.

Samitis is from Riga Latvia and has spent the last two seasons playing for the Philadelphia Rebels of the NAHL. This season he has scored 12 goals and added 8 assists in 37 games. The 20 year old stands at 6 feet 4 inches tall and will not only add size but he will be another veteran presence on a young team according to Assistant General Manager Stephan Seeger Jr. “He has a very large frame and an unapologetically hard shot. Kristians will not only add some size and experience, but being twenty years old he will bring maturity to our locker room and a young forward group. We are very happy that Kristians is a King.” Samantis has also represented his home country of Latvia on the world stage playing in the 2021 World U18 Championships and the 2023 World Juniors in Halifax.

Samitis will make his Kings debut this weekend when the Kings host the Clippers on Friday and Saturday.
