Powell River Kigns goalie Jonah Imoo has been named the Gongshow BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Oct 14, the league announced Monday.
Imoo helped the Kings to three wins and recorded his first shutout of the season in the process. The Surrey native stopped 72 of 74 shots ont the week for a .973 save percentage to go along with a 0.67 goals-against average.
The 6 ft 1 in. 170 pound 18 year old evened his record at 7-7 on the season as the Kings leapfrogged Nanaimo in the Island Division standings.
Congratulations also to defenceman Jordan Burns (two goals, four assists, 1st star and 3rd star) who was one of five runners up.
