Karter McNarland commits to the University of Alaska – Anchorage

The Kings are proud to announce that forward Karter McNarland has committed to play NCAA hockey at the University of Alaska – Anchorage.

Originally committed to the University of Vermont, the Saskatoon product became a free agent last week and is thrilled to have a new opportunity to play division one hockey “I’m super excited” says Karter “although things didn’t workout with Vermont, I found something that I really liked, and I’m just happy to get the opportunity and hopefully be an impact player right away when I get there”

Karter will join former Kings teammate Dylan Finlay at Alaska-Anchorage. Dylan is currently in his first season with the Seawolves and Karter mentioned that Dylan had some influence on his decision to commit there.  “I was talking to him everyday, he was letting me know how great of a spot it is and how happy he was there and he recommended me coming, and I’m glad it worked out”

Karter is in his second season with the Kings and currently leads the team in in points through 13 games this year with 3 goals and 8 assists and will look to add to that total with three games this weekend starting Friday in Surrey against the Eagles.
