Kings Acquire Lashuk from PG

The Powell River Kings have traded 94-born forward Jarryd Leung to the Prince George Spruce Kings, in exchange for 94-born forward Brent Lashuk.

Lashuk, 20, is in his 3rd year of Junior A hockey in the BCHL, having spent the prior two with West Kelowna and Prince George. In 106 career BCHL games the Kelowna BC product has recorded 36 goals and 37 assists, including 5 goals and 5 assists so far this season in 14 games with the Spruce Kings. “We are looking forward to having Brent in our lineup.  He has a lot of Junior A experience and will add some size, skill and depth to our forward group” says Kings Head Coach and General Manager Kent Lewis.

Heading to Prince George is 4th year King Jarryd Leung. The Victoria-born winger also recorded 5 goals and 5 assists in 14 games this season and over the last 4 seasons has suited up in 160 games for the Powell River Kings, scoring 41 goals and 39 assists.

“We would like to thank Jarryd for all of his contributions to the Kings organization both on and off the ice. We wish him best in Prince George and his future hockey endeavors” states Lewis.

Lashuk is expected to be in the lineup on Friday as the Kings entertain the Nanaimo Clippers at the Hap Parker Arena. The Kings would like to welcome Brent to the team.
