Kings At NHL Development Camps

Five former Kings (as of June 27th) have popped up at NHL Development Camp rosters over the last week. For many NHL teams, the end of June means looking to the future with the annual Entry Draft, followed almost immediately by Development Camps. Some NHL teams wait until July, however regardless of timing, these camps allow many drafted and undrafted prospects to showcase their skills.

Here are the camps to keep an eye on for some Powell River flavour:

Ryan Scarfo (Ottawa Senators)
Scarfo is due to play with the Sens’ AHL affiliate in Belleville next year.

Matt Cairns (Edmonton Oilers)
Cairns was drafted in the 3rd round by the Oilers in 2016

Jarid Lukosevicius (Vancouver Canucks)
Luko has attended a couple of different camps in the past and will be a Senior and Alternate Captain next year.

Adam Brubacher (New York Islanders)
Brubacher attended Canucks camp last season and is slated to play his Junior year at RIT next season.

Tristan Mullin (San Jose Sharks)
Mullin completed his first collegiate season with Cornell last year, scoring 4 goals and 2 assists in 26 games.
