Kings bolster offence with latest addition

The Kings are proud to announce the signing of 2002 born forward Cameron Symons for the 2022-23 season!

The Kingsville Ontario product is coming off a breakout season with the Chatham Maroons of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) that saw him double his point total from the season before while finishing 8th in league scoring with 59 points in 45 games. Cam would go on to add 13 more points in 17 playoff games on the Maroons run to the Sutherland Cup finals.

Cam is entering his final year of junior eligibility which means he only has this one shot at the Junior A level and with getting this opportunity he knows that he needs to take his game to another levelĀ  “I am excited to join the Kings and play in the BCHL” says Cam “I expect to continue to elevate my game through hard work and help create success for my teammates and the organization. I want to thank the Kings for the opportunity and invite the fans to come out for an exciting season of hockey.”

Providing a big body to go along his high skill level, Brock Sawyer knows that Cam will have a big impact on the ice for the Kings this season. “Cameron is a big forward, plays heavy, is not afraid to use his size to get to the net and make plays while creating space for himself and teammates. He is a player we are excited to add to our forward group and we look forward to working with him”

The Kings will hope that Cam can duplicate the same success that Chatham Maroons alumni Anthony Lucarelli who became a stand out player for the Kings last season and winning the teams unsung hero award.
