Kings bring in Théodore Jetté from Quebec

The Kings are excited to announce the signing of 2006 born forward Théodore Jetté for the upcoming season.

The product of Blainville Quebec played for the Saint-Eustache Vikings last year where in 42 regular season games he scored 12 times and added 16 assists. “Théodore played on one of the best U18 teams in the country last season” says G.M. Chad van Diemen. “He’s got good size and skates well and he goes to the dirty areas in the offensive zone to produce points.”

Jetté helped lead his team to an overall record of 43-8-0 last year, as they finished the regular season as the number one ranked midget AAA team in the country. Now after a very successful season, Jetté is looking forward to coming to Powell River and facing the new challenges the BCHL has to offer. “I’m really excited to join the Kings organization and the community of Powell River” says Jetté “Having this opportunity to play in the BCHL represents a lot for me. I have no doubt that playing in Powell River will push my development and help me reach the next level.”

The 17 year old will not only be relied upon for his offensive abilities, but for his defensive play as well, as van Diemen believes he could be a strong two way forward for the team. “I like the way he plays away from the puck” adds van Diemen “he has good habits so he can be trusted at both ends of the rink. We look forward to working with him and helping him get to the next level over the next few seasons.”
