Kings bring in veteran Tresor Wotton from MJHL

The Kings are ecstatic to announce the signing of 2003 born goaltender Tesor Wotton.

Wotton is coming off an All-Star season for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines in the MJHL. He compiled a 22-14-2 record with a 3.07 GAA and a .897 sv% to go along with 2 shutouts in 40 games. “Tresor is coming off a very good season in Manitoba where he was named to the leagues second All-Star team.” says G.M. Chad van Diemen “We are confident that he can make the jump to the BCHL and help us win games.”

The experienced Wotton will look to form a formidable duo alongside youngster Owen Crudale in the crease next season. With the team finishing in the top three in goals against in each of the previous two seasons, Wotton and Crudale will be relied upon to make sure it doesn’t happen again. “We need to bring our goals against as a team down” adds van Diemen “We feel that Tresor and Owen will be a good tandem that will be able to give us a chance to win every night.”

The product of Foxwarren Manitoba is entering his final season of junior hockey and his very excited to make his way out west to wrap up his junior career as a King “I am thrilled to have the opportunity in the BCHL this year with Powell River” says Wotton “I have heard that the atmosphere in the rink and the fans are great and I can’t wait to compete with the Kings every night. I am very excited to make Powell River my home for this upcoming season.”

Wotton’s uncle Mark is a former Vancouver Canucks draft pick who suited up in 43 NHL games and 896 AHL games, plus he served aas captain for the Syracuse Crunch and Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
