Kings sign goalie Owen Crudale

The Kings are very excited to announce the signing of 2005 born goaltender Owen Crudale for next season.

Crudale hails from Poway California and played last season with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks organization. In 33 games playing U18 AAA he had a 1.75 GAA and .931 save percentage for the highly ranked Ducks.

“Owen is a guy we did a bunch of homework on” says Brock Sawyer “He came very highly recommended from his midget coach who has experience in this league and his goalie coach was very complementary of his work ethic. He fits the mold of what we are looking to bring into our program, and we are excited to see what he can bring.”

The 6′ 1″ netminder comes in with a healthy amount of high level experience for a 17 year old, backstopping his team to a State Championship and competing at Nationals this past season. With the team looking to improve in the crease next year they believe that Crudale’s experience will help him excel at the junior level. “He was dynamite for the Junior Ducks at Nationals and gave them a chance to win” adds Sawyer “Obviously coming to junior there are going to be some growing pains, but hopefully he can adjust quickly and establish himself in the crease and give us a chance to win every game.”

Crudale becomes the third player to commit to the Kings for next season, joining Ben Ramsey and Carter Lundie who the team signed earlier in the year.
